REPAIR TRUE MEMBERSHIP
Payment Privacy Notice
How information is handled when you use the approved-membership payment page and Stripe Checkout.
Contact and responsibility
Repair True handles the payment administration described here. Your written membership offer must identify the contracting trader responsible for the service and its customer records before you pay. For privacy questions or that identity, email info@repairtrue.info or write to Repair True, 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
What is sent to Stripe
The payment page sends the selected plan, amount in GBP and payment references to Stripe to create your one-time checkout. On Stripe's hosted page, Stripe collects your email address and the billing, bank account and mandate information needed for Bacs Direct Debit. Its handling of that information is explained in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
What this website keeps
The integration stores private payment records containing your selected plan, amount and currency, payment references, live or test mode, payment status, creation and update times, the terms version accepted and your email address returned by Stripe. Where relevant, it also stores refund and dispute references, amounts, statuses and related processing metadata.
These records are accessible only to authorised site administrators. This payment integration does not collect or store bank account numbers or sort codes in WordPress. Please do not send those details by email.
A temporary counter uses a hashed IP address to limit repeated checkout attempts. It expires one hour after its most recent recorded attempt. Hosting services may separately process technical request logs for delivery and security.
Why information is used and shared
Payment information is used to take steps at your request before a contract, administer the agreed membership, reconcile payments and handle cancellations, refunds, disputes and support requests. Applicable legal obligations may require transaction records to be retained. Protecting checkout against misuse and resolving claims are legitimate business interests, considered alongside your rights.
Stripe, the website hosting provider and authorised technical support receive or access information needed for their respective services. Relevant information may also be shared with professional advisers or public authorities where necessary or legally required. Stripe may process information internationally; its privacy policy explains its processing and transfer arrangements. Contact us for information about the arrangements applying to your records.
This integration adds no advertising or marketing analytics scripts and payment is not a marketing signup. Stripe's hosted checkout has its own privacy and cookie information.
Retention and your rights
Payment records are retained for as long as necessary to administer the membership, meet applicable record-keeping obligations or resolve a complaint or legal claim. The integration does not automatically delete payment records. You can ask about the retention of your particular information.
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict or object to processing, or receive certain information in a portable form. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Some records may need to be retained where a legal obligation or other applicable exception applies.
Email info@repairtrue.info to make a request. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Providing the required checkout information is necessary to process a Bacs payment. Eligibility for membership is confirmed separately before payment; completing Checkout does not itself decide eligibility.
